Rockets Red Glare...and S'mores

Happy 4th of July! I made s'mores to share with you. They came out awesome. Homemade marshmallows and graham crackers with some Hershey's chocolate, can't get much more American than that. You can find the recipes here and here (Thank you, Smitten Kitchen).

Oh yummy!
Have you ever tried adding peanut butter to your s'mores? Heavenly.

It doesn't get much better than s'mores. And a big thank you to Megs. How has it never occurred to me to add PB?

Megs and Kristin - You girls can have my share of the PB. I like my s'mores the traditional way (plus I don't like PB).

Stephchows - Sadly, I had to heat my mallow in the microwave because no one else wanted them after gorging on the banana pudding I made. It was still yummy.

PB Swilr - I thinkt hat might just be the nicest comment I've ever received. Thank you!

Toni - To make s'mores (without going the homemade way like I did), you get some graham crackers, some marshmallows, and some cheap chocolate (in America, we use Honey Maid brand grahams, Jet Puff brand mallows, and Hershey's chocolate). Crack the graham into two squares and place a square of chocolate on one side. Over an open flame, toast the mallow to your likeness (my mom wants hers burnt, I want mine golden). Place roasted mallow on the chocolate and add the other graham. Using the grahams as tongs (no other way to describe this), pull the mallow off of the roasting stick. Enjoy!
